why the same address space?

Post by mar.bahro »

hello.
at the moment i write project report about jzos and don´t understand, why it is profitable/useful/helpful, that the java-processes run in the same address space rather with BPXBATCH.

can you help me and explain me why this is so good.

note: i am new in mainframe environment

1) If java processes run in the same address space, they can access DD allocations in the original batch job.

2) A single address space simplifies the job accounting and work-load-management (tuning)
