File name landing at remote sftp server (non-Co:Z) changed

We have a new company we are attempting to communicate with and when we do a

put //dd:TFILE remote_file_name

the remote server is saving the file as

remote_file_name/dd:TFILE

Anyone ever encountered such a problem?

This is expected if the server reports that "remote_file_name" is a directory.
