wto command - why?

Post by JohnMcKown »

Just a curiosity. Why did you create the "wto" command? What is wrong with the IBM supplied "logger" command? I don't have a console at my desk, but "logger" does show up in SYSLOG. I would guess that with the proper routcde and desc, which can be supplied in the command, it would show up on a console as well.

Good question.

This command has been around for a while, and I'm not sure that "logger" supported WTOs with routcode and desciptor code list at the time that we wrote it. It looks to me to be redundant now.
