With JZOS I happily run TOMCAT. No problem also to run APACHE 2.0 on my Z/OS 1.4.
But I can't succed in integrated APACHE and TOMCAT.
Is anybody succesfully ported mod_jk on Z/OS ?
Any advice would be appreciated.
tomcat and apache integration
I don't know of a source for pre-built mod_jk binaries for z/OS. I agree with you that it would be very nice if this configuration was available.
You might double check to make sure that they are not included in this distribution, but I'm almost sure that they are not:
http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/os390/
The source for mod_jk can be obtained here:
http://jakarta.apache.org/site/download ... ectors.cgi
Here are some instructions for building Apache 2.0 in z/OS, which might help you if you are trying to build mod_jk:
http://people.apache.org/~trawick/apache-2-on-zos.html
If you are able to get mod_jk built, we would be happly to make the binaries available from our downloads site.
I will post a question on the MVS-OE mailing list, which is the most likely venue for reaching someone who has already done this.
Sorry that I can't be of more help.
