Pipes and SFTP PUT

I do not have the Dovetail Pipes installed so I am unable to test this. I would like to know if it is possible for the fromdsn to be used with the PUT from a SFTP. My goal is to pipe the copy of the file to the PUT. Thus the file is FTP'd as it is being copied and the copy file would be TEMP. This would reduce the elapsed time of a SFTP and reduce the amount of disk space required.
If this does work let me know so I can install and test this.

Which SFTP - IBM or CO:Z SFTP?

With Co:Z SFTP, this would be unnecessary - you can do: put //my.dsn

I'm not sure, but I don't think that IBM's sftp client supports named pipes.
