Z/Os - Couldn't get handle: Permission denied

Post by senthil »

Hi Team,

We have as many as 500 jobs running in our Mainframe system. There are around 300 jobs that runs on a weekly basis. This week around 250 jobs ran fine & some 50 jobs abended with below message.

Couldn't get handle: Permission denied

My biggest worry is why these 30 jobs alone were failed with permission denied, whereas other jobs are able to run successfully.

Please help

This is a generic SFTP failure message that an SFTP client would emit if the server returned a "SSH_FX_PERMISSION_DENIED" error in a SSH_FXP_STATUS packet.

You would need to gather details on the error by looking at the server logs.
