How to upgrade Co:Z toolkit
Re: How to upgrade Co:Z toolkit
You would of course want to review the changes between the release and do normal testing in your environment as appropriate.
As far as the installation of the software itself -
You would migrate to the new LOADLIB modules by copying or some other technique.
For the UNIX installation directory, you can install into a release-specific directory name, like:
/usr/lpp/coz2.4.5
and then have a symlink:
/usr/lpp/coz -> /usr/lpp/coz2.4.5
So that when you install a new release in:
/usr/lpp/coz3.0.1
You can implement it by changing the symlink to:
/usr/lpp/coz -> /usr/lpp/coz3.0.1
Note: this assumes that you have not customized any of the sample scripts in the install/sample directory, or if you did you either moved them to some other directory. Otherwise, you will need to roll any customizations forward to the new release directory.
