SYSLOG and SYSLOGD

On our system we see inconming sFTP messages in the SYSLOGD log in OMVS as follows:

sshdÝ68157725¨: Port of Entry information retained for uid:xxxpid:68157725.
sshdÝ68157725¨: Accepted password for userid1 from 1.2.3.4 port 11111 ssh2
sshdÝ51380514¨: subsystem request for sftp

However, outgoing we don't see any messages in the syslog or syslogd. We only see them in the job log. Our syslogd daemon is running in
normal mode as far as I can see.

Any ideas why this is? Is it working as designed?

These are messages from the IBM Ported Tools sshd daemon.

Do you see any ssd messages in your syslogd files?

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding. We don't see any SSD messages only SSHD ones.
