I downloaded Co:z 4.1.0 Toolkit and started testing SFTP on our z/os 2.1 system that is running Ported Tools for z/os 1.2 (OpenSSH 5.0p1). Testing has went well but I just realized I missed this statement in the Co:z 4.0.0 section:
IBM Ported Tools OpenSSH v1.3 or later is required (yet we are only running OpenSSH v1.2)
I suppose that means I should not upgrade our Co:z sftp code from 3.1.0 to 4.1.0 until we get to z/os 2.2 (OpenSSH 6.4p1). I'm really messed up about the forward and backward compatibility options I should be following between Co:z toolkit versions and IBM's OpenSSH versions. Suggestion ? Thanks.
Verification: Can I run Co:z sftp 4.1 with 5.0p1 ?
Re: Verification: Can I run Co:z sftp 4.1 with 5.0p1 ?
Co:Z 4.1.0 is compatible with IBM Ported Tools OpenSSH v1.2.
The requirement for 1.3 in the release notes only has to do with using a specific feature.
