SSHD TCP port#

Post by mnu001 »

We have SFTP (IBM Ported Tools for Z/OS:OpenSSH) running in our Z/OS 2.2 LPARS.
/ssh/sshd_config , Port xxxx have defined.
If we install SFTP CO:Z version (Co:Z Toolkit) in the same LPARS, Can we use the same SSHD (keep the same TCP port xxxx)?
Thanks.

Yes you can use IBM OpenSSH SSHD... in fact you must.

Co:Z SFTP is used instead of the IBM OpenSSH "sftp" and "sftp-server" programs, but Co:Z SFTP requires that you still run IBM z/OS OpenSSH for the lower ssh layer.

See Co:Z SFTP Configuration: https://dovetail.com/docs/sftp/config.html

BTW: on z/OS 2.2, you are probably running "z/OS V2R2 OpenSSH" (a base feature of 2.2) and not IBM Ported Tools OpenSSH.
