Timeout attempting to connect socket

Post by Joe@SF »

Trying to get a BP set up with Co:Z Launcher. I can see that the second connection opens up but when it tries to connect to the socket to send the commands to the remote I get a "Timeout attempting to connect socket" error.

Re: Timeout attempting to connect socket

Post by dovetail »

This is an error where the remote system cannot open a socket connection back to the z/OS launcher process.

I can't tell what configuration you are using for Co:Z Launcher networking (like especially ssh-tunnel).
If you are using ssh-tunnel=true (the default), then it could be that your remote sshd server does not support reverse port forwarding.
If you are using ssh-runnel=false, then it could be that there is a firewall preventing the remote server from opening a direct (untunneled) socket back into z/OS

I would need to see the rest of the trace prior to what you have posted to diagnose what is going wrong.
