I/O on Tomcat started task

Post by rbjone »

We are running Tomcat under Jzos as a started task on our mainframe. We noticed that it is constantly doing I/O even on a server that is not serving pages or running applications. As far as I can tell, Tomcat is not writing to any logs. We are curious to know what that constant I/O is from. Is is related to the java garbage collection that I saw on the other post?

Thanks for your help,
coz

You might want to check your autoDeploy settings. See this thread:

Soon after I posted my question, I found the autoDeploy parameter, and set it to false. That seemed to stop all of the unexplained IO.

Thanks,
